"I went to Kevin Durant's camp, Lebron James' camp and the NBA top 100," said Hood. "We went to Vegas and we're at Nationals now in Orlando."
The Orlando event is already underway and Rodney and his teammates are putting together a solid showing.
"It's going pretty good so far," explained Hood. "We lost, so we're playing for fifth place. There are over 100 teams here, so we're still doing pretty good."
The summer has provided Rodney with the chance to focus 100% of his energies on improving his game. He believes fans will see a more complete player this season.
"I feel like my mental approach to the game is better," said Hood. "I am being more aggressive now and my shot is better. My ball handler is a lot better too."
With over two dozen college options to his credit, the Magnolia State standout is focusing his interest on just a handful of schools.
"I have more than 30 offers," said Hood. "Louisville was my last offer.
Rodney reports he is looking for a program with an up tempo approach on both ends of the floor.
"I am looking for a program that fits my style of play," said Hood. "I like to get up and down the floor and get after it on defense.
"I want to go somewhere they can develop me and hopefully I can get to the next level."
"I want a good education, so if basketball doesn't work out I have something to fall back on."
Rodney reports that he plans to take all five official visits before rendering a verdict regarding his college destination.
