"My strengths are my size and my versatility," said the Scout.com three-star ranked foward. "If a guy is bigger than me I can bring him on the wing and if he is smaller I just post him up."
Mychal isn't content with his overall game, though. And he's worked hard this summer working to improve several aspects of it.
"I've tried to improve my footspeed, my ball-handling and I'm always working on my shot," noted the rising senior. "I've been trying to improve both parts of my game, really. "
Several coaches have liked what they have seen from the youngster and are showing it recruitment-wise.
"UTEP, South Carolina, Florida, Georgetown and Missouri are interested," said Mychal. "In-state, Mississippi State, Southern Miss and Ole Miss are showing interest."
As of now, he has five offers on the table.
"I've received offers from Mississippi State, UTEP, South Carolina, Georgetown and Missouri," said Mychal, who is the 23rd ranked small forward in the nation by Scout.com
Three of those schools are currently at the top of his recruiting wish list.
"I like UTEP, South Carolina and Missouri," said Mychal.
He talked in detail why those three schools have made his final list.
UTEP - "UTEP is a great situation because they are losing something like 12 players. And they have good coaches coming in, Tim Floyd. I talk to him and feel comfortable with him."
South Carolina - "I really haven't talked to South Carolina's head coach because we are kind of playing phone tag with each other. But I have talked to (assistant) Coach (Neill) Berry. He's from Brandon (Mississippi). He and I got to talking and we just kind of clicked a little bit. So, I feel comfortable with him. He told me that I can come in and do my thing and start."
Missouri - "Missouri's style of play really fits my game. And they have cool coaches. (Head) Coach (Mike) Anderson and I talk. He and my mom are real cool (with each other). And I feel comfortable with him, too."
