Jackson Maase is hearing from several area schools as his junior year comes to a close. The Blue Valley High defensive end talked to Scout.com about his interest and where Missouri State plays in.

6-foot-3, 240-pound defensive end Jackson Maase is seeing interest from multiple football programs. The junior is hearing from schools at both the FBS and FCS level.

"I have had the most interest come from North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Illinois State, Northern Iowa and Missouri State," said Maase. "For FBS schools I have had interest from Tulsa and Wyoming."

Maase is making plans to camp in Springfield and check out Missouri State – an event he's looking forward to.

"I'm looking forward to meeting multiple coaches and growing a relationship with them. I'm also looking forward to seeing the campus and facilities the school has," he said.

Maase has been on campus at Missouri State before and has a good impression of the surroundings so far.

"I really like Missouri State's campus. They have overall great academics. I like the program they have and how they run it there," he continued.

And what do schools like about Maase?

"I think my strength is being coachable. I think my best strength is that I am a leader. I try to bring the team together and play as one.

"I also have very good work ethic. I work had all the time and also motivate others to be the best they can possibly be," he finished.
