Missouri State has spent some time in Memphis recently, recruiting some of the best prospects the city has to offer. One prospect that the Bears talked with was ZoRon Frye.

White Station High (TN.) defensive back, ZoRon Frye had an opportunity to meet with Missouri State Coach Taiwo Onatolu recently.

"Our conversation was pretty brief. I just matched a name with a face really. He had heard about me, but hadn't really seen my film yet," he said.

One of Frye's good friends and former teammate signed with Missouri State in February.

"I don't know much about Missouri State, so I'm not sure about them yet. "But I have a close friend going up there, Anthony Upchurch. So I should hear more about it soon," he said.

Frye has been in touch with many schools and has picked up a couple of scholarship offers as well.

"I have offers from Tennessee-Martin and Jacksonville State. Western Kentucky, Murray State, Arkansas State, Eastern Illinois, Oklahoma and Mississippi State are close to offering," he continued.

Frye, a large cornerback, considers himself a physical player with good ball skills.

"I believe I played well his year for it to be my first year playing at corner. My strength is my ball skills and being able to make open field tackles. I'm not afraid to lower my shoulder. I'm a leader for my team. And I'm able to be on an island and be physical," he finished.
