Orchard Farm High (MO.) junior Sam Wallut made to one of Missouri State's satellite camps last weekend. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound athlete talked with Scout.com about the outcome and where he stands in recruiting.

Sam Wallut joined a large group of players at Missouri State's camp. He hadn't had contact with the staff prior to the camp, but that could change going forward.

"Other than the camp Sunday, I hadn't had contact with them at all," said Wallut. "That was the best camp I have been to, by far. They had great coaches, good tempo and I was able to get all the reps I wanted."

Wallut has been in contact previously with some smaller programs, but he's been to camp at a few other places and has others in the works.

"I have been to the Lindenwood, Missouri and Missouri State camps. I am going to Butler, Drake and possibly a few more camps," Wallut said.

Wallut was one of the best players in St. Louis this past season, using his speed and his instincts to make big plays for Orchard Farm.

"I came into my own as a player. I was starting both way. I was on all four special teams units. I was giving more responsibility. I lead the St. Louis area in sacks for most of the season and ended up fourth, with 14 sacks. I lead the area in assisted tackles with 81. I also had 29 tackles for loss," Wallut finished.
