Shawnee Mission West (KS.) receiver Isaiah Macklin has been in regular contact with four schools. And while he hasn’t picked up an offer yet, he did stand out at Missouri State’s camp this week.
“I hear from South Dakota, Missouri State, Ball State and Central Arkansas,” Macklin said.
“At the Missouri State camp I played very well. I definitely impressed the coaches. I enjoyed talking to the coaches and the campus seemed nice. I’ve only heard good things about Missouri State,” he continued.
What was Macklin showing the coaching staff to impress them?
“I’m fast, aggressive and smart. I would also say that I have an edge to my game. I always play with a chip on my shoulder. My speed is my best asset, but my knowledge of the game helps me make a lot of the big plays,” he continued.
Now that Macklin is firmly in the limelight at his school, he may see schools appreciate his ability more and offer him a scholarship.
“I don’ have any offers, but I feel like I’m getting close. I think coaches are waiting for some senior film because I didn’t have any as a junior. I had a Tulsa commit and a Kansas commit playing over me at wide receiver,” he finished.
