Tre'Von Cherry made good on his plan to camp at Missouri State. The Tulsa (OK.) East Central High quarterback made a great impression on the Bears’ coaching staff.

Tre’Von Cherry was in Springfield last Friday for Missouri State’s final camp of the summer. He believes he was one of the standouts on the field that day.

“Missouri State was really great today,” Cherry said. “I think they like me there because I came out and ran a 4.44 in the 40.”

Cherry, who threw for over 2500 yards last season, worked out at two positions.

“I worked at quarterback half of the time. The other half I went to cornerback. I did good at both. They got to see me do real good,” he continued.

Cherry still didn’t pick up the elusive Missouri State offer, but it sounds like it could be coming before too long.

“They didn’t offer yet. They said they couldn’t offer that day on campus. But I’m hoping they stay in touch with me and give me one,” he continued.

Cherry also got a chance to tour the facilities at Missouri State. He found them impressive.

“I like it there. I toured the football facility and stuff after the camp. It’s real nice there,” he finished.
