Michael Briggs was previously committed to Northern Iowa, but after speaking with Missouri State and his parents, Briggs flipped his commitment to the Bears.
“My decision was very thought out and talked through with my parents,” said Briggs. “It was made based off the new coaching staff and the school being close to home so my parents and other family members could come to watch me play.”
What sold Briggs on Missouri State was the new coaching staff and the way they have presented themselves.
“What I like most about the program is the energy the coaching staff has. I can’t wait to get down there,” he said. “From the coaches I know, I love them. They truly love the sport and have a ton of energy.”
While helping Archbishop O’hara to a 10-2 record, Briggs threw for 2212 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also rushed for 356 yards and 13 touchdowns.
