Tulsa (OK.) Holland Hall High senior Anthony Armour picked up a scholarship offer from Missouri State recently. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive end not only has an offer from Missouri State, but is hearing from a handful of schools.
“Some of the schools I heard from the most are Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Kansas, Tulsa and Emporia State,” said Armour.
The Missouri State offer wasn’t one that came about expectedly for Armour.
“It felt great to get an offer from Missouri State. I was just coming down for a normal visit to their fall scrimmage. Afterwards talking to the Head Coach I was shocked with an offer,” he said.
Missouri State remains a mystery to Armour for the most part, but he feels good about what he’s seen. He’s also hoping to make a return trip to Springfield.
“I don’t know much about their school, but I have a really good vibe about their football program and their school atmosphere.
“I plan on visiting Missouri State again along with Northern Iowa, Emporia State and Tulsa,” he continued.
Armour, who helped his team to start off the season with a win, is a physical presence at the high school level. With his vitals, he already looks the part of a college defensive end.
“I think that my biggest strength as a defensive lineman is my speed at my size and my explosiveness coming off the ball,” he finished.
