Tigers Run Over Cowboys 50-6

The Missouri Tigers unleashed their running game as they rolled over the Cowboys in their home opener

The Missouri Tigers set the tone early with several quick scores led by the running of freshman running back Henry Josey, who scored 3 touchdowns on the night while running for 115 yards, as the Tigers routed McNeese State by the score of 50-6 to improve to (2-0) in their home opener at Faurot Field.

Quarterback Blaine Gabbert completed 26-of-31 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown as the offense showed offensive balance throwing for 245 yards and rushing for 195 on the day.

Back-up quarterback James Franklin saw his first action of his career and scored on a rushing touchdown.

Junior running back Devion Moore also ran for a TD.

Seven different receivers caught the ball on the day led by T.J. Moe, while Jerrell Jackson scored his first TD on the year with a pass from Gabbert.

The defense had another strong performace with 4 interceptions on the day and shutout the Cowboys for 3 and a half quarters.

LB Andrew Gachkar had an interception and recovered a fumble. Kevin Rutland and Kenji Jackson also had interceptions.
