The Missouri Tigers set the tone early with several quick scores led by the running of freshman running back Henry Josey, who scored 3 touchdowns on the night while running for 115 yards, as the Tigers routed McNeese State by the score of 50-6 to improve to (2-0) in their home opener at Faurot Field.
Quarterback Blaine Gabbert completed 26-of-31 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown as the offense showed offensive balance throwing for 245 yards and rushing for 195 on the day.
Back-up quarterback James Franklin saw his first action of his career and scored on a rushing touchdown.
Junior running back Devion Moore also ran for a TD.
The defense had another strong performace with 4 interceptions on the day and shutout the Cowboys for 3 and a half quarters.
