Texan With Tiger Offer To Visit

Texas lineman has Missouri offer and will make his official visit in the near future

It is well known that this recruiting season the Missouri Tigers are looking for a few good linemen to help close out their 2011 recruiting class.

The latest possible prospect that may fit that role is Marble Falls (TX) OG/DT Cyril Lemon 6'3" 305lbs.

#60 Marble Falls Lemon

The Tigers have extended Lemons a written offer and the big lineman will be making his official visit to Missouri on October 9th, the weekend of the Colorado game.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke recently with Marble Falls head coach Cord Woerner regarding his star lineman and his recruitment by the Tigers and others.

"He is a great kid. Hard working kid.Everything is yes, sir,no sir, he is a good student who takes care of his business," said Woerner.

"He has good character and is a good leader.Right now he has good lower body strength, is very quick , has good feet and runs very well.He pulls well and traps well. He is equally good both pass blocking and run blocking. We run most of our offense out of the gun," continued Woerner.

Besides his offer from the Tigers, Lemon also has offers from Houston, Florida International and Memphis. He is also hearing from UTEP.

Coach Woerner described how Cyril Lemon felt about his offer and upcoming visit to Mizzou.

"He (Cyril) is very excited! Missouri is a great program and something that he would love to be a part of. He has a written offer from them and is visiting next weekend. If he enjoys his visit I could see him making a commitment."

The coach continued speaking about his player

"He is a special kid and someone is going to get a really good player. He is strong, but he thought he was a basketball player until recently, and once he hits the weights then his upper body strength will improve and he will be special wherever he goes."

I asked coach about what position he may be hearing schools project Cyril at.

"Just about all of them see him as an interior offensive lineman, primarily offensive guard, although a few have said they like him as a defensive tackle. I believe Missouri is looking for interior offensive linemen and that is where they see him most likely."

Cyril Lemon is also a standout in the throwing events in track for his high school.

Marbles Falls (TX) is a 4A school, but coach Woerner said it is one of the smaller 4A schools about 45 miles outside of Austin(TX).

Lemon sounds like the typical type of players the Missouri staff seems to search out, evaluate and get commitments from on a yearly basis.

ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow Cyril Lemon's visit and recruitment by the Missouri Tigers.
