Tiger Offer For Recent Texas Visitor

Texas defender talks about his recent visit to Mizzou along with his new offer and where the Tigers stand in his recruitment

ShowMeMizzou spoke with 2011 LB prospect Brandon Durant 6'1" 205 4.49 Copperas Cove (TX) about his recent visit to Missouri, and about the current status of his recruitment.

Durant indicated following his visit to Missouri that he has received a Missouri offer, to go along with offers from North Texas and UTEP. He talked about his visit to Missouri.

"I really liked it a lot," said Durant. "I like how every thing's so close to the football complex, like the dorms, and the tutoring hall, and the cafeteria is all in one spot. I liked it a lot. I really like the coaches a lot."

Durant is being recruited as an outside linebacker, probably to play the strong side in Missouri's 4-3 defense. During recent testing at a college camp, Durant ran a 4.49 forty, and at another camp, posted a 4.51 forty. His vertical jump measured 36". He has bench pressed 285 pounds.

"Missouri's definitely on top," said Durant. "But, I'm going to wait. Hopefully, by December, I'll know."

Durant has Missouri on top, along with Baylor. He doesn't currently have a Baylor offer, but is hopeful of receiving one. Durant said he's not sure whether he would choose Missouri over Baylor, or vice-versa. But, he wants to postpone his decision until he has all of his options in front of him.
