Pipkins Excited About Tigers

One of the top prospects in the state for the 2012 class talks to us about recent visit and thoughts on the Tigers

ShowMeMizzou caught up with 2012 DT prospect Ondre Pipkins 6'4" 305 KC (MO) Park Hill, following the Missouri / Oklahoma game. Pipkins was in attendance, along with his mother, and it sounds like they really enjoyed the game.

"We had fun. It was a great experience," said Pipkins. "It was fun to watch the game, watching two top powerhouses in the nation go at it."

Ondre admitted that he rushed the field along with the Missouri students.

Pipkins said that his mother "had a blast", and that "she couldn't stop talking about it".

He said that his two favorite plays were "the hook and lateral", and Aldon Smith's interception.

Pipkins talked about his recruitment, and his Missouri interest.

"It still hasn't hit me yet, that this is all happening," said Pipkins.

"When I go there, I feel good," intimated the junior lineman. "It's a genuine environment. You know, I feel like I'm at home. Already, and I haven't even told them I want to go there, yet. So, just imagine when I tell them, if it does happen, you know, just imagine if it did happen, you know, how I'll be treated. So, it's pretty exciting."

Ondre responded to my question about his time table for making a decision.

"I've got to get my books done first," said Pipkins. "I've got to get that out of the way. Then, I can weigh my options."

Pipkins is planning to take the ACT in January. And, he told me that he's been invited to the Army All-American Combine, in San Antonio, in January.
