2012 St. Louis (MO) De Smet Jesuit WR prospect Durron Neal 6'0"185 4.5 forty was among the large number of recruits on hand to watch the Missouri Tigers upset the then #1 Oklahoma Sooners this past Saturday night.
ShowMeMizzou.com caught up with Neal to ask him about his experience and the game overall that he got an up close look at, along with his thoughts on the Tigers after their big win.
"It was 10 all the way! I was really proud of them (the Tigers) and it wasn't a surprise to me that they won. The team has done this all year long",said Neal. "The crowd was amazing! It was just ridiculous, everything was crazy. It was a great time."
The 2012 prospect spent most of his time with friend and Tiger commit Sheldon Richardson, and MICDS LB Michael Scherer watching the game. Richardson apparently has been talking to Neal about joining him as a Tiger.
"Sheldon was telling me that I need to quit playing and commit to Mizzou already. That he knows it's where I will sign. He wants the rest of us Missouri players to become Tigers with him", Neal said.
And where do the Tigers stand with him after witnessing such a big win on the national stage.
"Mizzou is right there in it at the top. They are the home state team and they were the first school to offer me. They have a great program and school. I am not ready to commit to anyone, but they are high on my list."
The night before the Mizzou/ Oklahoma game ShowMeMizzou.com saw Durron Neal's Spartans team beat rival SLUH in a game that Neal dominated. We spoke with him after the game in this exclusive video.
