During December, Missouri has hosted several recruits on their official visits, including 2011 WR commit, Wesley Leftwich 6'1" 195 4.3 Columbia (MO) Hickman. Leftwich spoke with ShowMeMizou, and talked about his visit, and his early arrival at Missouri.
"(My visit) was a good experience," began Leftwich, who will complete high school this week, and will enroll at Missouri in mid-January. "All of the players were really nice, and showed me around, and we had a good time....................... All of the recruits are nice, and we all just bonded. It's a good family atmosphere."
Leftwich's senior season ended early, when he suffered a tibial micro-fracture, and a PCL strain, during a late-season contest. He has recently been cleared to begin running, and is rehabbing his leg. He said that he feels god, and expects to be at 100% by the beginning of off-season workouts at Missouri.
Leftwich talked about getting to spend time with T.J. Moe on his visit.
"T.J. (Moe) was my host," said Leftwich. "I hung out with him most of the time. He showed me around, and gave me a lot of pointers for when I get there next month."
Leftwich indicated that Moe will most likely be his big brother at Missouri, and that he feels that he and T.J. have already begun to establish a mentoring relationship.
Leftwich is really looking forward to beginning his college experience.
"I just can't wait," said Leftwich. "Just being able to get up to college, and get a head start on everything.................... I'm going to miss high school, but I just got to move on to college, and focus on football."
