The Latest On Ben McLemore

ShowMeMizzou.com has the very latest regarding the recruitment of Ben McLemore and when a possibly decision may happen

On Thursday night, 2011 wing-player Ben McLemore 6'5" 185 was in attendance for Missouri's 81-58 victory over Old Dominion. McLemore, who attends Oak Hill Academy, in Virginia, has been enjoying the holiday break with family and friends in his home town of St. Louis.

McLemore was accompanied by his former AAU coach, Darius Cobb. Afterwards, Coach Cobb spoke with ShowMeMizzou, and brought us up to date on McLemore's recruiting status.

Coach Cobb said that he will accompany McLemore to Lawrence, KS, this weekend, "to keep things equal". According to Coach Cobb, Kansas and Missouri remain as McLemore's final choices, and a decision between the two schools is not forthcoming for McLemore at this time. When pressed for a time line for McLemore's decision, Coach Cobb replied, "Probably April."

Other schools have continued to recruit McLemore, since he won't be able to sign with any school until the April signing period, but Coach Cobb indicated that he thinks that McLemore's decision will inevitably come down to a choice between Missouri and Kansas.

ShowMeMizzou also learned that questions about McLemore's academic standing have been cleared up, and that McLemore is expected to be academically qualified to enroll in June, following his graduation from Oak Hill.
