It appears that the Tigers are looking at possibly adding another Allen Eagle to their roster in 2012 RB Jonathan Williams 6'0" 195lbs 4.45 forty.
Williams is considered one of the top running backs in his class in the state of Texas for 2012 after running for 2,078 yards and 19 TDs on 248 carries as a junior, and is seeing and ever increasing group of schools showing interest in him including Texas,Texas A&M,Georgia, Michigan,Alabama,Oklahoma State,Michigan,TCU,Iowa and Missouri among others.
ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Williams recently to get his thoughts on the Tigers and to find out what his interest level might be in them.
"I have been looking at them (Missouri) and I like them", said Williams. "I like their coaches a lot and one of my teammates, Brad McNulty, is going to Missouri and we talk about them I ask him questions and he has a lot of good things to say about them.I use to watch them at first when Jeremy Maclin played there. He was one of my favorite players and fun to watch. I like their offense, they are a Big 12 school, and I could definitely see playing there. They invited me to their junior day on the 22nd, but I will be taking the ACT that day, so I cannot make it."
Williams, who says that his strengths as a running back are yards after contact, catching the ball and blocking, said that a visit this spring is possible.
"I may go up there for their spring game. I know Brad (McNulty) is going up there then and I would go with him."
Competition for Williams will be fierce.
He layed out what he will be looking for when he makes a final choice on a school.
"I am looking for a place where I can play early. A school that has a good football and academic program, and feels like home."
He also said that he was not sure of timeframe for when he wanted to have a school picked out. He plans on taking early visits to schools he likes this spring and summer.
ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow Jonathan Williams recruitment.
