Tiger Offer Goes Out To Another Texas RB

2012 Texas running back is excited by his latest Big 12 offer coming from the Missouri Tigers football program

Houston (TX) Westside running back Benjamin Catalon added to his list of offers when another Big 12 program decided to pull the trigger earlier this week. The 5-foot-8, 185-pound playmaker now holds three scholarship offers and will likely see more in the near future.

"Missouri offered me on Monday. They called my coach and told him. Then when I called they said that they like my speed, quickness, my ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and that they want me to play there," said Catalon.

Catalon admits that the Missouri offer caught him a bit by surprise because he hadn't had very much contact with their coaching staff in the past. Regardless, he is very excited about his latest offer and hopes to learn more about the Tigers.

"The offer kind of came out of nowhere! I'm excited about the offer but honestly I don't know much about them right now. I plan on doing some research and finding out what they are all about."

The three-star running back also holds offers from Baylor and Colorado. He will be making his way to Forth Worth this upcoming weekend to participate in TCU's junior day.

"I'm taking a trip up to TCU this weekend for their junior day. TCU has been recruiting me pretty hard so hopefully they will offer. They may not offer this weekend but I think they will definitely eventually offer."

Catalon currently lists TCU, Colorado and Baylor as his top schools and he hopes to come to a final decision by the time summer comes around.

"TCU, Colorado and Baylor are my top schools right now. Things could change if I get more offers but these are my favorites right now. I want to make a final decision by late spring or summer for sure because I plan on graduating early, so I want to have it all figured out by then."

Catalon finished his junior season with 1,116 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. He also registered 245 reception yards and a receiving touchdown.

He plans to graduate early and hopes to be available for spring ball in 2012.
