Steward was offered by the Tigers a week ago last Friday.
"I am going to be a Tiger. I am excited!" said Steward. "I have prayed with my family about it since my offer and everything came into place for me that this was the right time and right decision for me."
Steward and his family took an unofficial visit to Missouri today and that was all they needed.
"I knew as I was walking around and after I talked to coaches that I wanted to be a Tiger. Mizzou has everything I could want. The coaches are great, Coach Pinkel, Coach Hill, Coach Jones, they were all excited, too" said Steward.
Steward's family is happy with the decision and to be coming to Mizzou.
"Missouri has always been my first choice for Morgan," said Robert Steward, Morgan's father."Since this all started we have looked at them and feel as though they have everything we would want for him and it's the home state team, so we'll get to see him play a lot."
Morgan Steward rushed for over 1,500 yards playing fullback as a junior, and has been impressive at US Army combine and the Show-Me combine, testing among the top prospects at both events displaying his speed, agility, explosivness and strength.
Steward also received interest from Kansas State, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Nebraska,Wisconsin, Duke, and Oklahoma.
He becomes Missouri's first known high school commit for the class of 2012.
