Tigers After Texas Pass Rusher

The Missouri Tigers continue their search for top notch talent by looking down in Texas with an offer to another high-level defensive prospect

One of the top defensive end prospects in the state of Texas, Devonte Fields 6'4" 238 4.7 forty, spoke to ShowMeMizzou.com recently to confirm his Missouri Tiger offer and share other information about his recruitment.

"I've received an offer from Missouri about 2 weeks ago", said Fields.

"I kind of know a little about Missouri, but not as much as I want to," continued Fields. "My Uncle went to Missouri, so I am familiar with them and have heard about it.  I talked to a Missouri coach and I plan on finding out more about them."

The Texas pass rusher also holds offers from Oklahoma,Texas A&M,TCU,Arizona, Michigan,Baylor, Kansas,Tennessee.Louisiana Tech and North Texas.

I asked Devonte is he had a favorite among those schools listed.

"Everybody is equal right now", said Fields. " I have been to junior days at TCU,Oklahoma and A&M,  but I don't think I will be taking any unofficial visits. My plans is to look at everyone, take my official visits when I can, and make a decision sometime after my senior season."

Fields, who described his strengths as his speed,quickness and pass rushing ability, listed a couple of things he would be looking for in a program.

"Good academics and good coaches", he said. Those are the important things."

Fields recorded 66 tackles and 6 sacks in 2012 while being named All-District 1st team.
