The Next Tiger Basketball Coach?

Sources are saying that the Missouri Tigers search for their new men's basketball coach may be over with an announcement to be made within 48 hours

Multiple media sources, including Foxsports.com's Jeff Goodman, are saying that the University of Missouri will hire Miami University's Frank Haith as it's new men's head basketball coach within the next 48 hours.

Haith's record at Miami through the 2010-11 season overall was 126-92. His record in the ACC was under .500 (40-63 conference record) with 8-8 his best conference record. In seven years at Miami he has made it to the NCAA's once. NIT 4 times.

Haith is reportedly a good recruiter who has done a good job turning around the academic situation of the basketball team, but his job status has been called into question after this past season and failing to make it to the NCAA tournament again.

A meeting by the Missouri  board of curators is scheduled for tomorrow, presumably to approve the contract and hiring of the new basketball coach.

ShowMeMizzou.com will have more on this as it happens.
