Chesson Picks Up Tiger Offer

One of the top prospects in the Missouri class of 2012 and one of the top WR prospects in the St. Louis area has added the Missouri Tigers to his offer list has learned that Ladue (MO) WR Jehu Chesson 6'3" 180 has picked up two recent offers to add to his ones from Illinois and Minnesota. Both Bowling Green and Missouri have extended offers to Chesson since the last time we spoke. Jehu filled us in on the very latest.

"I am up to 4 offers now", said Chesson. " Besides Illinois and Minnesota, I picked up offers from Bowling Green and Missouri just yesterday."

Chesson had taken an unofficial visit to Missouri to watch a spring practice a few weeks ago. He talked about the Tiger offer and his plans on how he will deal with the recruiting process the rest of the way.

"I had heard last week about possibly getting the Missouri offer, but I spoke to Coach Ford last night and he told me that they would like to keep Missouri kids like myself, Dorial Green-Beckham and Durron Neal at home and playing for Missouri. It is an exciting offer to get. It's pretty big. I thank God and think that it's a great blessing to get this offer and all the others."

Jehu said that he was also excited to get both the Missouri and the Bowling Green offer, but that he is not ready to make a commitment anytime in the near future.

"I plan on keeping my options open right now and seeing what other offers come my way. I talked it over with Coach Ford and he understood, but said that the program would like to have me, but that the possibility of another receiver coming along and committing could happen and I would lose my spot. I like Missouri a lot. I like their offense, the coaches and my parents could come see my games."

"I have talked it over with my parents and they have to agree on whatever school I choose" continued Chesson. " I don't see myself making a commitment until sometime during or after my season after I take some visits."

Chesson also told me that he is hearing more from schools such as Wisconsin, Miami,Iowa, Florida,Nebraska and Mississippi State.

He is also currently running track this spring and would have liked to attend the Missouri Black & Gold game, but his prom is this coming Saturday.
