Scherer Has Decision Timeline In Mind

St. Louis (MO) MICDS stand out linebacker Michael Scherer was among the many recruits at the Tigers Black & Gold game, and he shares with us where his recruitment is at and when it may end

Several recruits were in attendance at Missouri's Black & Gold Scrimmage, including 2012 LB Michael Scherer 6'3" 230 4.7 St. Louis (MO) MICDS. spoke with Scherer, following his visit, and he talked about the experience, and where his recruitment currently stands.

"It was good," began Scherer, talking about his visit to Missouri for the spring game. "It was cool to see all of the people there (at the game and at the alumni luncheon). It was cool to see that once you leave, that you're still part of the family there. That was very cool to see. I was just talking to the coaches some more, and building a strong relationship with all of the coaches. It was very good."

Scherer said that he's still open, but he's beginning to narrow things down, and would like to make a decision in a few months, maybe as soon as August or September. I asked Scherer where Missouri stands on his list.

"As of right now, Missouri is definitely toward the top, if not at the top. They're probably at the top right now," admitted Scherer. "They're the staff that I have the best relationship with so far. The people that I know there, I have a very good relationship with. I know a lot of the players there, and have a very good relationship with some of the players there. Right now, they're kind of out in front. But, there's still schools like Stanford and Michigan State, and other schools, that I haven't been to yet."

Scherer listed Iowa and Boston College, in addition to Stanford, Michigan State, and USC, as schools in which he has a strong interest. He's already visited Iowa and Boston College, both of which appear to have made a good impression on him.

Scherer mentioned that he has a "comfort level" with Missouri that he hasn't experienced at other schools. will continue to follow Michael Scherer's recruitment.
