An unfavorable weather forecast prompted the two teams to reschedule Sunday's season finale as part of a doubleheader on Saturday.
Chelsea Thomas (27-5) allowed 1 run over 6 innings, and Ashley Fleming belted a three-run home run in the third inning, to lift Missouri to the Game 1 victory. Princess Krebs collected three hits, and drove in a pair of runs, for the Tigers.
In Game 2, Fleming hit her team-leading 12th home run of the season, another three-run blast, and Abby Vock hit her 5th and 6th home runs of the season, to pace a 10-hit Missouri attack, as Kristin Nottelmann (15-1) went the distance for the win, in her first conference start in over a month.
Fleming talked about her big day.
"It was great! I loved today, just because everybody contributed to it," explained Fleming. "It was a great team effort. I felt good at the plate today. I needed a good day for going into the post-season. It felt good."
Coach Earleywine talked about the second of Abby Vock's home runs, which sailed quickly over the left field wall, and seemed to disappear into orbit.
"That was by far and away the farthest ball that she's ever hit in her life," said Coach Earleywine. "Man! That was a big girl home run!"
The Tigers will now await the outcome of Sunday's contest between Texas and Baylor, to see if they'll share the conference crown with the Longhorns.
"I'm really proud (of my team)," said Coach Earleywine. "It's a big statement............................. This is a pretty big deal."

Meanwhile, Missouri awaits Sunday night's NCAA Tournament announcements, expecting to host a regional.
"Hopefully, we'll get to host," said Coach Earleywine. "I hope to play here in front of our fans."
Coach Earleywine said that Nottelmann's performance gives him the confidence to possibly pitch the junior in the regional opener. He said that he welcomes the rest for his ace pitcher, Chelsea Thomas, and the opportunity to tweak her mechanics.
"That's the number one issue for us," explained Coach Earleywine, thinking ahead to the post-season. "Getting Chelsea Thomas right."
Coach Earleywine also talked about the importance of getting Ashley Fleming's bat in gear.
"If at any point, we could get both (Hudson and Fleming) going," said Coach Earleywine wistfully, looking ahead to the post-season. "We might have a real special chance!"
