Denson Commits To Tigers

The Missouri Tigers received their first commitment for the class of 2012 this morning from Hitchinson (KS) C.C. PF Quantel Denson 6'8" 225lbs.

Denson, who played at Gandview (MO) high school on the same team as Alec Burks, talked to ShowMeMizzou.com about his recruitment with the Tigers and his commitment.

"I committed to Missouri this morning,"said Denson. "I first heard from them about a month ago. I knew Coach Chew and they told me about the program and that they would like to have me play at Missouri and be a Tiger. I have always liked Mizzou so it was an easy decision."

Denson said his excitment to be a Tiger was also felt by coach Haith when they spoke.

It's wonderful to be able to go home and play for Missouri. When I talked to coach Haith he was excited and said he was happy to have me as a Tiger."

Quantel described himself as having "all round" game on the court.

"I am an inside /outside player who can run the floor and see the floor well. I have a prett good outside shot and can score down low as well."

Denson was a starter at power forward for a Hutchinson team that was number one in the nation last year.
