Hybrid S/LB Prospect Excited By Missouri

The Missouri Tigers have been busy out on the recruiting trail with some more offers being extended to potential recruits they have been evaluating

The Missouri Tigers have been busy out on the recruiting trail, looking for a few good men.

ShowMeMizzou.com has learned that the Tigers have gone deep into the heart of Texas to extend a scholarship offer to Austin-area 2012 safety Zac Espinosa 6'2" 203 4.51 Leander (TX) Cedar Park, who is the younger brother of Longhorn OL Dominic Espinosa.

"I'm really excited (about the Missouri offer)," said Espinosa. "It's a big-time program. I'm real excited to get a feel for the school, and see how everything is."

Espinosa has received recruiting interest from a number of schools, and reports offers from Arizona, Army, and Wyoming, in addition to Missouri.

Espinosa, who reports a 34" vertical jump, is planning some visits this summer.

"I'm definitely going to try to make it up to Missouri," said Espinosa. "Sometime in June, I'm going to go check out the schools, and try to get a feel for the coaching staffs."

Espinosa is experienced in both man-to-man and zone coverage. He's also known as a guy who will come up and knock you backwards. He said that he's going to be playing kind of a hybrid safety-linebacker his senior year in high school.

"(Missouri) is looking at me as a safety," explained Espinosa. "They also talked about that I could also probably play linebacker, if I grow into it........................... We'll have to see how much weight I put on."

ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow Zach Espinosa's recruitment.
