Ifedi Close To Making A Decison

The Missouri Tigers may be close to landing one of their top offensive line targets for the 2012 recruiting class as ShowMeMizzou.com gets the very latest regarding his recruitment

During the spring evaluation period, the Missouri assistant coaches have been out on the recruiting trail looking at players. One player that the staff has checked in on has held a Missouri offer for awhile. He talked to ShowMeMizzou.com, and filled us in on the status of his recruitment.

A talented 2012 offensive line prospect out of Texas, Germain Ifedi 6'6" 310 5.1 Houston (TX) Westside currently has Missouri on top, and is planning to visit Columbia in early June.

"I might be close to committing (to Missouri)," Ifedi told ShowMeMizzou.com, "depending on how my visit goes. I want to see the campus first."

Ifedi just received an offer from Arkansas, to go along with a host of other offers, including Baylor, Colorado, Houston, Iowa State, Louisville, Memphis, Mississippi State, Rice, San Diego State, SMU, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Wake Forest, among others.

"Missouri's on top of my list right now," said Ifedi. "Arkansas, and Baylor are up there, too."

He's already visited Baylor, and said that he may visit Arkansas. Ifedi is a good student, and appears to be solid academically. He's an aggressive blocker, who shows the kind of competitiveness that the Missouri staff appreciates.

ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow Germain Ifedi's recruitment.
