2012 Hoops Star Picks Up Missouri Tiger Offer

Missouri Tiger head coach Frank Haith and staff have been busy on the recruiting trail for 2012 prospects, and we talk to one of the standouts to receive an offer recently

Missouri Head Coach Frank Haith and his staff have been busy out on the recruiting trail. ShowMeMizzou.com has confirmed that Missouri has extended a scholarship offer to 2012 SF Alex Poythress 6'8" 215 Clarksville (TN) Northeast, who is widely regarded as one of the top players in the country.

Poythress plays AAU ball for the Georgia Stars.

Poythress has a lengthy offer list, which includes Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Marquette, Memphis, Stanford, Tennessee, and Connecticut, in addition to Missouri, among others. He reports that he is currently "wide open", and he plans to narrow things down over the next few months.

Missouri coaches, Frank Haith and Tim Fuller, have each established relationships with Poythress prior to their arrival at Missouri.

Poythress has already visited several schools in the SEC, including Alabama, Georgia, Memphis, and Tennessee.

He said that he's "not sure" which additional schools he'll visit. He said that he's "still trying to figure it out". He's not in a big hurry to narrow things down, and indicated that his recruitment would likely continue into the fall.

ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow the recruitment of this high level player.
