Cornerback Confirms Missouri Offer

The Missouri Tigers continue to look for speed on the defensive side of the ball for the 2012 recruiting class. We talk to another of their recent cornerback targets

As the evaluation period winds down you are seeing more offers going out to players that coaches have had the chance to get a closer look at and find out more about.

One of those players that ShowMeMizzou.com found out about having an offer from the Missouri Tigers is West Orange (TX) Stark cornerback Justin Thomas 5'9" 165 4.4 forty speed, 37" vertical jump, 3.9 shuttle and 255lbs bench press max.

The speedy cover corner spoke with us about his Tiger offer and where his recruitment was at.

"I do have a Missouri offer," said Thomas. "I was kind of surprised. I had been getting letters from them and was invited to their junior day, but I wasn't expecting an offer. I was very happy to get it!"

Thomas, who has a total of 6 offers currently from Baylor,Texas Tech, Houston,Utah and Memphis besides Missouri, has watched the Tigers play, but hopes to find out more about them.

"I watch them when they are on TV. I like Big 12 football and they have been pretty successful. I am hoping to get there for a visit this summer or for an official visit."

Thomas, who also excels in track, described his abilities on the football field.

"I may not be the biggest guy on the field, but I use my speed and jumping ability to limit my man. I play physical and I like to lock down and cover one on one."

Justin said that he is looking for a school in a good city with a good location and has good academics and a good coaching staff.

As far as schools standing out to him or if a decision could come in the near future, he is not close at this time.

"I don't have any favorites. I like all the schools that have offered me. I am hoping to see some of them and maybe make a decision before the season, but if not them once I find the school that's right for me."

ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow the recruitment of Justin Thomas.
