Tigers On The Prowl For Louisiana Athlete

The Missouri Tigers have had some success in recent years pulling some talented players from the state of Louisiana and they are back down there looking to add more

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2012 CB prospect Kentrell Brice 6'0" 172 4.5 Ruston (LA), who confirmed his Missouri offer, and talked about his interest level in Missouri.

"I'm happy to see the offer from Missouri," said Brice. "It's very big."

Brice reports having offers from Indiana, Memphis, Tulane, Nebraska, NW Louisiana State, and SE Louisiana, in addition to Missouri.

Brice is a multi-sport athlete, who has played basketball, and has posted personal bests in the standing vertical of 38", 22'7" in the long jump, 43' in the triple jump, and 6'6" in the high jump. He also returns kicks for his high school team.

Brice plans to unofficially visit some of the schools that are close to his home, and wants to use his official visits to look at places like Missouri, that are farther away. He hasn't really narrowed things down, but he did say that "Missouri's my best offer."

"Right now, at the moment, Missouri's probably number one on my list," explained Brice. "I'm just waiting to see who all else offers. If somebody else passes them, I guess that could happen. But right now, I don't see that happening."

Brice is known as a very athletic cover corner, who is good in man-to-man coverage, and has a nose for the football. He'll also come up and hit.

ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow Kentrell Brice's recruitment. It sounds like it's going to be during the season before he takes official visits, and reaches a decision.
