Ladue( MO) 2012 WR prospect Jehu Chesson continues to see his stock rise in the recruiting world as the offer come in from schools all over the country.
Jehu has hit the road recently to check out some schools of interest to him, including this past Friday to the University of Missouri.
ShowMeMizzou.com caught up to Jehu on a recruiting trip to Florida to get his thoughts on what he saw at Mizzou on his unofficial visit.
"I reeally liked it a lot. It went great," said Chesson. "I liked what I saw of the campus and academics. I got to meet more of the coaches and see things I wanted to find out about."
The talented pass catcher said he wasn't close to making a decision, but gave Mizzou fans hope that he could wind up a Tiger still.
"I don't have a top list of schools or anything like that. I am taking my time and visiting some schools now. Then I will take all of my official visits and make a deicison. However, I can tell you that while I don't have an official list of favorites, that Mizzou is up there with me and will be strongly considered."
Chesson was fresh off a camp and visit at Miami (FL) when we talked. He also liked what he saw while at Miami.
"There is a lot to like there. I liked everything. The program, the tradition. The camp went well and the coaches talked about offering me. They said they might like me as a safety on defense."
Is Chesson open to playing defense?
"I would prefer to play receiver, but I am open to the possibility of playing on defense."
Chesson continued his road trip with a scheduled camp and visit to the University of Florida today.
"I have been hearing from Florida for a little bit recently and they wanted me to come down and camp and we'll see what happens with them."
The it's back to Missouri to get ready for his upcoming senior football season.
ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow the recruitment of Jehu Chesson.
