The Missouri Tigers and new head coach Frank Haith have picked up a commitment for 2011 with Earnest Ross making his decision to transfer to Missouri following his visit there over the past couple of days.
"I have committed to Missouri," said Ross in a text to ShowMeMizzou.com moments ago.
Earnest shared his reasons for picking Missouri at the end of his visit.
"Just because it was nice here and the facilities and coaching staff is wonderful here. Especially with the fan support here. It's great!"
The 6'5" Ross was Auburn's leading scorer and rebounder in the 2010-2011 season with 13.6 points per game and 6.6 rebounds while shooting 79% from the foul line.
He told us that " the campus is great and the fans are great" last night but had not committed until today.
Ross felt as though the University of Missouri was the best place for him to continue his education and basketball career.
He will sit out the 2011-2012 season.
