Missouri Team Camp 1 Report

ShowMeMizzou.com shares a look at the Missouri Tigers football team camp number one and the players who stood out at the annual event

The first of Missouri's Team Camps for 2011 is in the books, and ShowMeMizzou.com takes a look at some of the players who were in attendance, and which players made a positive impression.
Once again, Jefferson City Head Coach Ted LePage had almost everyone from his program in attendance, and once again, it appears that he will have a talented group of players to take the field this fall.

Devon Moore

Chris Sutton

Thomas LePage

Steven Williams

2012 RB Devin Moore 6'2" 190, and class of 2013 teammates DB Chris Sutton 6'0" 174, LB Joey Burkett 6'3" 200, QB Thomas LePage 6'2" 185, OL Steven Williams 6'4' 300, and OL Billy Brahe 6'8" 240 are among the top players from Jefferson City, who were in attendance at the camp.  Moore is a great-looking high school RB, with a next-level physique.

Sutton runs a 4.45 forty and vertical jumps 38".

Besides the crew from Jefferson City, most of the top players at the camp worked with the various Renegade Teams, assembled for individuals who attend the Team Camp.  From among the Renegades, a few players caught everyone's attention.

Mick Wunderli

2013 OL Nick Wunderli  6'4" 280  St. Louis (MO) DeSmet was the OL camp MVP, and really stood out from among all of the big men in attendance.

Diyrell Josey

Another player who made an impression is 2013 RB Diyrell Josey  5'7"  185  4.48  33" vertical  Angleton (TX) (Yes, he's Henry's brother), who is very quick, and elusive.  He's shorter, but a little thicker, than Henry.

Alex Keith

2012 DE Alex Keith  6'3"  225  4.8  31" vertical  Columbia (MO) Hickman was garnering a lot of attention, as was 2013 LB prospect Eric Beisel  6'4"  210 4.59 St. Louis (MO)  Rockwood Summit.  Beisel is a guy to keep an eye on, with good size-speed ratio, good quickness, and good weight-gain potential.  Maybe it's the red hair, but he kind of reminds me of Andrew Wilson.

A handful of QBs were honored as MVPs on Saturday, at the conclusion of the camp, including 2014 QB Clay Ford  6'3"  185  Kansas City (MO) Park Hill, Brandon Howard  St. Charles (MO), Renegade Austin Scherzer 5'10" 160 2013, Brendan Weiler Ste. Genevieve (MO) 5'11' 175 2012, and Mach Waldman  Breese (IL) Mater Dei.

Running back honorees, in addition to Josey, included Keith Degler  St. Louis (MO) Westminster, Devin Chafin  Burkburnett (TX), Peter Ratermann  Breese (IL) Mater Dei, and Renegades Chris Creek, Nick Hess, and Miles Drummond.

The top receivers at the Team Camp included Renegades Zach Edwards and Gil Henric.

A pair of defensive linemen who were in attendance at the Springfield one-day camp, Gavin Rainwater 6'2" 285 and Dakota Brake 6'2" 265, came to Columbia and made an impression on the Renegade squads, receiving MVP honors along the way.

Other defensive linemen who received honors during the team camp were Zack Marritt 6'6" 255  St. Louis (MO) Bishop DuBourg and Renegade Demetrice Fisher 2014 from DeSmet.

There were a number of linebackers at this team camp who left having made a good impression, including Chris Struckoff  St. Charles, Roper Garrett  Ste. Genevieve, Forrest Obenhaus  St. Louis (MO) Westminster, Cody Ratterman and Matthew Rekamper of Mater Dei, and Renegades Brandon Miller, Justus Schulte, and Bryson Corf.

The top DBs at the first Team Camp were Nate DeMeat  St. Louis (MO) Bishop DuBourg, and Renegade Jared Edwards.

Moving forward, ShowMeMizzou.com will be keeping an eye on many of these campers, especially the 2013-2014 prospects.
