Among the several defensive tackles that Missouri has offered for 2012 is Aaron Curry 6'3" 273 4.9 Keller (TX) Fossil Ridge, who recently spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and updated us on his recruitment.
In May, when we spoke with Curry, he had Missouri on top. I asked him if that was still the case.
"Yeah. I still am high on Missouri," explained Curry. "I'm very interested in Missouri!"
Curry now holds offers from Baylor, Boise State, Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, Mississippi, Purdue, and New Mexico, in addition to Missouri. He's already been to visit Baylor and Kansas State. He's planning to visit some other schools, but right now, a July 17th visit to Missouri is the only one scheduled.
"I'm going to make my decision, it's going to be before school," intimated Curry, for whom Dave Steckel is the primary recruiter.
Curry said that he'll need to add "about 25 pounds" to play DT in college, and that he can play either on the nose or at the three technique. Curry's best forty-yard dash time is 4.9 seconds, and his best vertical jump has been measured at 25". Curry's maximum bench press is 305 pounds, and his personal best in the squat is 390 pounds, and 285 pounds in the power clean.
Curry is quick off of the ball, uses his hands well, and has a good motor. He also plays basketball.
I asked Curry if a commitment is possible when he visits Missouri in July.
"Yes. If I like it a lot," replied Curry.
ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow Aaron Curry's recruitment.
