Hines The Latest To Become A Tiger

The Missouri Tigers finish their hot streak of picking up commitments in June as they receive the word from one of the top defensive backs on their offer list on the last day of the month

Waco (TX)CB Will Hines 6'1" 190 - 4.47 forty, 36" vertical jump- celebrated his birthday in style by committing to the University of Missouri today.

"I am glad to be the newest member of the University of Missouri football team!" said Hines in a message.

The speedy cornerback had made his decsion to become a Tiger a few days ago and told some of his closest friends and future fellow Tigers.

Will broke down the reasons behind him choosing Mizzou.

"I love the coaches! They showed a lot of interest in me. My parents liked them too," said Hines.

Hines had 35 tackles and 3 interceptions as a junior.

"I was excited to get the Mizzou offer," said Hines." Coach Odom has been recruiting me and when I got the news I was very happy. They are a program on the rise and are in the top 25 on a regular basis. They said they liked my film and want me to come play cornerback for them. They also said I remind them of a cornerback currently on their roster from Texas, Kip Edwards, I think", said Hines previously to ShowMeMizzou.com.

Hines plans on visiting Missouri on July 18th along with several other football prospects.

He becomes Missouri's 11th known commitment. He picked Missouri over Arkansas, Oklahoma State,Notre Dame and Texas Tech.
