Tigers At The Top With Texas Line Prospect

The Missouri Tigers offered this massive Texas lineman a little while back and have climbed to the top of his list among schools currently involved in his recruitment. ShowMeMizzou.com introduces you to him.

The Missouri Tigers are focused in on several linemen for 2012.  One is a two-way prospect, OT/DT Raphael Green (spelled Ralphael) 6'5"  324  5.2  San Antonio (TX) Houston, who has informed ShowMeMizzou.com that he has received a scholarship offer to play football at Missouri.  The big lineman talked about the Missouri offer, and filled us in on his recruitment.

"Missouri offered me a scholarship right before school let out,"  said Green.  "They're recruiting me as an offensive, and a defensive, tackle."

Green holds offers from Colorado, New Mexico, New Mexico State, and North Texas, in addition to Missouri.  He said that Michigan appears to be close to offering.

Green is an excellent student, and told ShowMeMizzou.com that he's "at the top of my class."  Green ran a 5.2 forty at the TCU camp this summer, and reports a 23" vertical jump, a maximum bench press of 365 pounds, and a maximum in the squat of 545 pounds.  Green has dedicated himself to getting into better physical shape, and he has lost 41 pounds since last season.

"I'm interested in Mizzou,"  explained Green, who then described his interest-level in Missouri as "ten, on a five-scale, ten".  "They play big-time football!  They play against Texas, and Oklahoma, and Baylor.  And, they're interested in me.  They're my best offer, along with Colorado.  But, I'm more interested in Missouri.  They didn't overlook me.   They told me that they want me to take it to the next level...................... They're at the very top.  They're up there.  So, you can say that they're number one."

Green said that he's been speaking with Missouri assistant coaches, Craig Kuligowski and Josh Henson.  He said that Missouri is recruiting him pretty hard, and that he intends to visit Missouri in the near future, although he's not sure when that visit will occur.

Green said that Missouri is not pressuring him to commit, but that they would like for him to come for a visit as soon as he can.
"They're telling me to take my time,"  explained Green, who wants to study in a health-related field.  "It's going to be one of the most important decisions of my life............................... They want me to come up on campus real bad.  They want me to come to Missouri, and be a Tiger."

ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow the recruitment of Ralphael Green."
