Decision Coming Soon For Hopkins

ShowMeMizzou.com has the very latest on the recruitment and possible coming decision on where one of the Missouri Tiger's top defensive tackle targets on their offer board could be headed.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with one of the several defensive tackle prospects that are considering Missouri, 2012 DT Donald Hopkins 6'2" 270 4.9 Lago Vista (TX). Hopkins updated us on his current recruitment status.

"I'm still uncommitted," began Hopkins, who went on to say that he's still planning to commit "this month", although he hasn't set a "specific date".

"Missouri (is my top school) right now," said Hopkins, who has an impressive offer list, including Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Army, Baylor, Houston, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, SMU, Texas State, Texas-San Antonio, Tulsa, Utah, Wake Forest, and Wyoming.

Recently, Hopkins had identified a top three of Missouri, Baylor, and Alabama.

Hopkins is planning to visit Missouri during the season.

"I'm visiting (Missouri) whenever I get a bye week," he explained.

Hopkins will be attending a camp at Texas A&M this Sunday, July 17. An Aggie offer may be in the works. I asked Hopkins about where an offer from Texas A&M would place the Aggies on his list of schools?

"They would be pretty high up there," Hopkins replied. "I don't know if they would be in the top three, but they'd be pretty high up there. They're a school to consider, because they're fairly close to here."

Utah is a school in which Hopkins is also interested. Recently, he said that he'd like to visit Utah during the season.

ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow Donald Hopkins' recruitment.
