Is Goines Ready To Make His Decision?

Massive Texas offensive tackle Simon Goines talks to about his recent unofficial visit to Missouri and shares his thoughts about a possible decision to come soon

While the Missouri Tigers had several unofficial visitors in town on Monday, none was bigger then Keller (TX) Central OT Simon Goines. Literally. Goines 6'8" 293lbs made his unofficial to Columbia yesterday and is back in Kansas City at his Grandmother's today. talked with Simon to get the scoop on his visit and where things stand with his recruitment after it and a visit on Saturday to Oklahoma.

"I was tired last night, but I loved it,"said Goines as he described his unofficial visit to me. " I came in and all the coaches greeted me and then I looked around the campus at everything. I went to check out the business school and about the academics there. We had lunch and then I talked to Coach Pinkel."

I asked Simon what he loved most about his unofficial visit?

"The coaches and players make me feel at home and the business school is perfect for me," he said.

So did Goines commit to the Tigers?

"Not yet," he said.

Could a decision be coming soon?

"Could be,"he said.

With Simon playing it coy about any possible commitment to Missouri, I decided to turn his attention to his Oklahoma visit and asked if OU had offered him or talked about offer him.

"They said they might, but I'm not thinking about them anyway,"said Goines.

Goines has developed a close relationship with several current Missouri Tiger commitments including Evan Boehm and Jonathan Williams. It is relationships and academics that will help him decide  in the end he said. will continue to follow Simon Gones recruitment to it's conclusion.
