Latest Tiger Commit Talks About Decision

St. Louis (MO) defensive tackle prospect Ed "Easy" Ray talks about his decision to become a Missouri Tiger and why he feels the Mizzou football program is best for has the details.

Missouri has been experiencing success on the recruiting trail this month, and the Tigers are closing out the month with their 16th known commitment. spoke with 2012 DT prospect Edmond Ray 6'5" 290 4.9 St. Louis (MO) Ritenour, and the big lineman informed us that he has given Missouri a verbal commitment.

"I made the verbal commitment to Mizzou about an hour ago," said Ray. I'm pretty excited! Overwhelmed with excitement!"

Ray gave the news to his primary recruiter, Coach Ford, and said that he will speak to Coach Pinkel a little later today.

"He was pretty stoked," intimated Ray, speaking about Coach Ford's reaction to the news. "He's looking forward to seeing me (at Missouri)."

"Mizzou's been in my mind for quite a while," explained Ray, speaking about his school choice. "I just thought it was time to make it official. I like the coaches. I like the program. And, I think it's a good fit for me. It's not too far from home, too."

"Now I just have to focus on school, grades, and my senior season," said Ray.
