ShowMeMizzou.com has learned that St. Louis (MO) Parkway Central WR Brandon Sheperd has decided to delay his college decision for the time being.
Sheperd had previously planned on making an announcement on TV in St. Louis on Sunday evening, but recent events have made him rethink things and now he wants to have his parents visit both Missouri and Oklahoma State with him to get their thoughts on which school might be best for him.
"I thought I knew where I wanted to go, but know I am not so sure after recent visits,"said Sheperd. "I am more confused not after taking those then I was before, so I want to get my parents to go with me and check out Missouri and Oklahoma State. Those are still the two schools I will be making my decision from. It won't be too much longer."
I asked Brandon if there was a new time frame for a decision?
"It will be a soon as I feel it. Right now I would say it's 50/50 for both schools and I am taking my parents to a school on September 3rd. Hopefully, it won't be long after that," he said.
Sheperd did say he made the trip up with friend and 2012 Missouri commit Donavin Newsom this past week to Columbia.
"We did not go see practice or anything. We just went up to take another look around town. Donavin would really like me to join him at Mizzou. We'll see."
Brandon told me that he was looking for the school that had the best family atmosphere, he felt the most comfortable with the coaching staff, and who he felt could best prepare him for a shot at the NFL.
ShowMeMizzou.com will continue to follow Brandon Sheperd's recruitment and have the latest updates.
