Camp Quick Hitters: Tuesday Morning has some quick hitters from this Tuesday mornings practice as the Missouri Tigers continue their grind to prepare for their Sept 3rd opener against Miami (OH).

The Missouri Tiger football team was back at it again this morning as the effect of two-a-days looks like it is taking it's toll on some players.

The Tigers practiced indoors due to rain.

The morning ended in a tie between the offense and defense and kicker Grant Ressel broke the tie with a 46 yard FG for a win for the offense.

James Franklin continues his strong play and had another good day. Although he doesn't appear to be connecting with Brandon Gerau just yet as the starting X receiver. Brandon looks like he needs to break a little quicker on some routes to catch up with Franklin's passes.

Kendial Lawrence and the running backs all had strong mornings.

No real movement on the depth chart from yesterday.

Coach Pinkel said after practice that Justin Britt was the guy for the Tigers at left tackle this season. Pinkel said that the plan was for Justin to move outside to left tackle next year, so Justin will just be ahead of schedule and have to step up earlier then first thought.

The offensive line is looking good with Britt,Meiners and Palmgren in there.

Young tackles Michael Boddie and Taylor Chappell seem to be switching back and forth between right and left tackle.

Britt had a strong day in his first at the Tigers starting left tackle. He did a really nice job of battling off Michael Sam and Brayden Burnett on the day.

Speaking of Sam and Burnett. Michael Sam has really worked hard on his technique and added a variety of moves to his game. Sam looks like he would be a starter on most teams in the Big 12 and should continue to push those ahead of him.

Burnett has really come on this camp. He is pushing for playing time and showing a lot of promise.

You can also say nice things about Matt Hoch, Shane Ray and Derrion Thomas, the young DEs waiting their turn.

Sheldon Richardson was getting some 2nd team work. Sheldon continues to be impressive and is living up to the long awaited arrival early on.

Will Ebner had an INT and continues to look like he is putting some space between himself and Luke Lambert. In a recent video shot of Ebner, he spoke about his off eason work with the cornerbacks and safeties on his pass coverage.

EJ Gaines had the hit of the day on a kick off return.

Burge, Drain and Waters all wore red pullovers and appear close to returning.

A full report is on the way.
