Missouri Visit Changes Things For Jankovic

The Missouri Tigers hosted several basketball recruits on their official visits over the weekend and ShowMeMizzou.com has the latest on their time at Missouri starting with a prep school big man.

Over the weekend, Missouri basketball hosted a trio of official visitors, including PF Stefan Jankovic 6'11" 235 Huntington (WV) Prep. Shortly after he returned to West Virginia, Jankovic spoke to ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his visit, and updated us on his recruitment.

"(My visit) was great! I mean, I had a really, really good time," said Jankovic, speaking of his visit to Missouri. "I was there three days, and I got a good feel for the campus."

Jankovic is also considering Wake Forest, Florida State, Syracuse, Georgetown, and Purdue. All have offered. Prior to his Missouri visit, Jankovic had Wake Forest as his favorite, but he said that has changed, following his Missouri visit.

"Missouri is near the top (of my list)," explained Jankovic. "I don't have a favorite, but they're definitely up there. I'm wide open, now. Previously, Wake Forest was my favorite. But now, I'm wide open, but I mean, (Missouri) is up there…………………………… I don't have a favorite, but (Missouri) is up there."

Jankovic talked about what impressed him on his Missouri visit.

"One thing that really stuck out to me was the atmosphere and the crowd support," said Jankovic. "Walking around campus, and seeing everyone wearing (Mizzou gear), that was a big thing………………………………… I got to hang out with the players, and the coaches.

I was there with one of my good friends, Negus (Webster-Chan). It was good just to be around Mizzou a little bit, and get a feel for it."

Jankovic pointed out that Missouri has three seniors up front, and playing time would likely be available right away.

"Obviously, I'd like to come in and play right away," explained Jankovic, who described himself as more of a high-post type of player. "That's huge for any player!"

Jankovic called the allegations against Coach Haith from his days at Miami, "insignificant", as far as being a factor in his decision.  And, he talked about how his relationship with Negus Webster-Chan may impact his school choice.

"Missouri's the only school that (we're both considering)," explained Jankovic, talking about possibly playing with Webster-Chan in college. "Honestly, it's a big factor for us, (to play together in college). We've played together forever. We grew up together. We have a feel for each other on the court, and we play off of each other ………………………………… It's a big factor."

Jankovic plans to take visits to Wake Forest and Purdue. He plans to sign in November.
