Donald Hopkins Update

Missouri 2012 defensive tackle commit Donald Hopkins updates ShowMeMizzou.com about how his senior season is going, when his official visit will be and shares his thoughts on any potential conference move.

ShowMeMizzou.com checked in with 2012 Missouri commit, DT Donald Hopkins 6'2" 280 4.9 Lago Vista (TX) for an update on his senior season, and to get some of his thoughts about Missouri.

Hopkins' Lago Vista team is 4-1, heading into class 2A district play. Hopkins said that he expects his team will do well in districts, and that he thinks they will advance well into the state play-offs.

Hopkins is solidly committed to Missouri. He said that he doesn't hear from other schools much, and doesn't encourage contact from other schools.

Hopkins is in regular communication with the Missouri staff.

Depending on how far his high-school team goes in the play-offs, Hopkins said that he plans to take an official visit to Missouri in December.

Hopkins admitted that he's heard that Missouri may move to the SEC.

"It really doesn't matter to me," said Hopkins. "It might be a little tougher conference. But, it really doesn't have an effect on me. (Big 12 or SEC), either way, it's a good conference. I don't think it makes much difference. It just doesn't matter to me."

Hopkins plans to arrive at Missouri in June.
