Commits Share Thoughts On Possible SEC Move

ShowMeMizzou.com spokes with several of the Missouri Tigers 2011 football commitments to get their thoughts on the possibilty of Missouri moving to the SEC conference and they give their opinions should a move happen amd how they feel about it.

With a move to the SEC appearing imminent for Missouri, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with a pair of 2012 verbal commits to get their thoughts on playing in the SEC.

"I think (moving to the SEC) is cool!"   said safety prospect Chaston Cuffee  6'2"  190  4.48  Cleburne (TX).  "Like I said before, it don't bother me at all.  Football is football."

I asked Cuffee if he thinks that, in general, moving to the SEC would be an important factor in a recruit's decision to choose Missouri?

"Maybe to some, but not me,"  replied Cuffee.

Cuffee said that he had talked to Will Hines about this very subject, and that they see moving to the SEC as a positive.

"I talked to Will (Hines), and he even posted on Twitter,"  said Cuffee.  "He said, 'It sure would be nice to play in the SEC.'  I think like that, too.  Because I think it will boost our game."

"I like the decision (to move to the SEC),"  said corner prospect Will Hines  6'1"  180  4.43  Waco (TX).  "I think it'll be fun playing in the SEC, with all of the competition and everything."

I inquired of Hines if he has recently spoken to Jonathan Williams?

"I talked to Jonathan (Williams) a couple of times,"  replied Hines.  "He doesn't have a problem with (moving to the SEC), either.  He just said that (Missouri) needs to play more (out-of-conference) games in Texas."

"Jonathan (Williams) liked (his Arkansas visit),"  said Hines.  "But, he's still with Missouri.  He's still with Mizzou."

According to Hines, he, Cuffee, and Williams, among others, are planning to visit Missouri in December, depending on how their respective teams are doing in the play-offs.
