Giving The Tigers A Second Look?

While the Missouri Tigers 2012 football recruiting class may have had a couple of defections recently, there is at least one familiar name giving them another look and possibly more. Read about it.

Following the announcement that Missouri is moving to the SEC, the Tigers' staff has been busy retracing some of their steps, firming up commitments, and checking in on some previous targets, as well as contacting new targets.  Once the season is over, the staff will be out on the road en force. checked in on a former Missouri commit, in 2012 CB prospect Kentrell Brice  6'0"  172  4.5  Ruston (LA), to get his thoughts about Missouri's move to the SEC.

"I mean, it's a good thing that Missouri is going to the SEC,"  said the quiet, soft-spoken Brice.  "It provides more competition.   But, right now, I'm just looking for the place where I can play the fastest."

Brice who once called Missouri  "my best offer,"  is currently committed to Louisiana Tech, after having previously been committed to Missouri.  He also has reported offers from Indiana, Memphis, Tulane, Nebraska, NW Louisiana State, and SE Louisiana, in addition to Missouri, as well as having received interest from numerous other programs.

When Brice decommitted from Missouri in early August, he cited the distance from his home as a major concern.

Brice is known as a very athletic cover corner.  He's good in man-to-man coverage, and has a nose for the football.  He'll also come up and hit.  He's a multi-sport athlete, who has played basketball, and has posted personal bests in the standing vertical of 38", 22'7" in the long jump, 43' in the triple jump, and 6'6" in the high jump.  He also returns kicks for his high school team.

Brice has been talking to the Missouri staff, and he told me that "it's possible" that he may take an official visit to Missouri, following his high school team's play-off run.
