Meador Takes In Mizzou Win

The Missouri Tigers continue hitting the recruiting trail to help close out the 2012 football class and had a unofficial visit from one of their remiaing O-line targets. gets his thoughts on his trip here.

Following his unofficial visit to Missouri, 2012 OT prospect Jake Meador  6'7"  305  Whiteland (IN) took time to visit with, and he shared his thoughts about his visit, and updated us on his recruitment.

"I liked (Missouri) a lot,"  said Meador.   "Coach Henson showed me around, and I saw most of the campus.  I talked to a couple of academic advisors."

"I talked to the coaches,"  continued Meador.  "I really enjoyed (the visit).   I got a good feel for what it's like there……………………………….. I really enjoyed Coach Henson and Coach Walker.  I got to hang out with a couple of the players."

Meador spent time with Connor McGovern and other players on his Missouri visit.  He said that he plans to return to Missouri for an official visit later.  He said that he'll have to talk to Coach Henson about it some more to set up the date for his official visit.

"I enjoyed (Missouri) a lot,"  said Meador, who compared Columbia to his home town in Central Indiana.  "It's a little different than Ole Miss………………………………… I really enjoyed myself."

In the meantime, Meador is planning to visit Indiana, among other schools that he is considering, along with Missouri and Mississippi.

Meador considers himself to be a "soft verbal" commit to Mississippi, and would like to see the new coaching staff there.

"I'm not making a switch, yet,"  said Meador, who indicated that his decision may run into mid January.

Meador is also considering SMU, Kentucky, and Louisville, among others.  He's not naming a narrowed list beyond those that he's planning to visit.
