Mauk Hopes To Bring Talent With Him To Mizzou

Kenton (OH) QB and 2012 Missouri commitment Maty Mauk made his official visit to Columbia last weekend and even more then his like of what he saw, he appears ready to try and help the Tigers land more talent, including another record setting WR to throw to.

National record holding Kenton (OH) QB Maty Mauk 6'2" 195 has been committed to the Missouri Tigers since this past summer for the 2012 recruiting class.

ShowMeMizzou.com caught up with him and got his thoughts on the visit. What we found is that he seems interested in bringing along some more talent with him now that he sees signing day up ahead.

"I had a great time," said Mauk referring to his official visit. "It's the place any recruit should want to go. I can't wait to get there."

Mauk pointed out that the thing that really stood out to him the most was the relationships between the players and coaches, and how every one is part of a family atmosphere at Missouri.

"What stood out is just how everyone takes each other in. How they get along and are all like family."

Maty was hosted by red-shirt QB Corbin Berkstresser, and he said the two hit it off well.

Now, it appears that Mauk is turning his attention to helping to recruit other players to join him at Missouri. "Yeah, definitely," was Mauk's response when asked if he was already working to bring more talent with him.

One player whose name was mentioned was Springfield (MO) WR Dorial Green-Beckham, who Mauk has established a friendship with.

When asked if he felt the chances were good that DGB might join him in Columbia, he responded with,"I think so."

We'll see if the National career passing record holder can help bring the National career receiving record holder to bring his talents to Missouri and be on the receiving end of his passes in the future.
