Boehm Gets "That Feeling" Back About Mizzou

The Missouri Tigers got some great news and an early Christmas present with the recommittment of Lee's Summit West lineman Evan Boehm. has Boehm's thoughts on returning to the Tiger family with his decision.

At about 4:30 this afternoon, OL Evan Boehm  6'3"  290  5.00  Lee's Summit (MO) West  spoke to Missouri Head Coach Gary Pinkel, to inform him that he was committing to Missouri.  This is the second time that the big lineman has committed to the Tigers, and this time he said that he's done with his recruitment.  He won't be taking any more visits.  He's turning his attention to the high-school wrestling season, and to his future at Missouri.

"I'm a Missouri Tiger,"  said Boehm.  "When I took my official visit (December 9-10), I got the feeling back."

Boehm, who tells that he's down to 290 pounds, but that he's going to have to cut more weight for wrestling.  His current maximum bench press in 365 pounds, and he's repped 225 pounds 17 times.  He also said that he's squatted 600 pounds.  He's back on board with Missouri, and he's going to try to help the Tigers finish out this recruiting class. 

"I'm excited to be a Missouri Tiger,"  said Boehm.  "I'm looking forward to getting in there next summer, and competing for a job."

Boehm said that he expects to be "in the mix" for playing time next fall, knowing that he'll have to earn it on the field.  He said that he's likely to start out at guard for the Tigers.

Boehm, who is the #1 center prospect in the country and #119 overall, according to, chose Missouri over Auburn, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Michigan, among many others.
