COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou men's basketball head coach Frank Haith announced Tuesday that Kadeem Green is leaving the team due to personal reasons. Through the Tigers' 13 games this season, Green averaged 3.0 points and 3.1 rebounds while playing nearly 11 minutes per game. He shot better than 70-percent from the floor this year, connecting on 12 of this 17 field goal attempts. Green expressed interest in returning closer to home so he can be closer to his family.
"We obviously wish Kadeem nothing but the best as he moves forward with this decision," head coach Frank Haith said. "Kadeem made great strides during his time at Mizzou and we are sad to see him leave the program. This is a decision that did not come easily for Kadeem – he has made a lot of friends and he has really enjoyed his time here at Mizzou. Decisions like this are never easy, but we certainly thank Kadeem for the time that he dedicated to our program and want nothing but the best for him moving forward."
