Last Wednesday the Missouri Tigers picked up a commitment from Broken Arrow (OK) ATH Levi Copelin 6'2" 185 (4.38 36" vertical), who switched his verbal commitment from Houston to Mizzou. This past weekend, Copelin took his official visit to Missouri and spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com about his experience.
"It was amazing!," said Copelin. "I loved everything about it and it let me know that I definitely made the right choice in picking Missouri over Houston. The people were so supportive and you could tell that they really care about you as a person. They were really interested in my coming to Mizzou. The coaches, the players, just the beauty of the campus, the facilities. It was all great. A motto I heard about Missouri is what you see is what you get, and that was certainly true. "
Copelin, who was hosted by red-shirt freshman QB Corbin Berkstresser, made some new friends on the visit.
"Besides Corbin, I got to know Mitch (Morse) and some other players, who were really cool. I also hung out with some other recruits on the trip, Mike Onouha, Damien Lawry and met Jake Meador. We all kind of bonded on the trip. I think we will be picking up some more commitments soon," said Copelin.
The speedy athlete isn't sure which side of the ball he will play on just yet, but that isn't his biggest concern at the moment.
" It was funny, because Coach Ford and Coach Hill were battling over which one would get to coach me either on offense or defense. They don't know which I would prefer, but honestly, I just want to play and help the team wherever they think I can contribute the most. This is a great opportunity for me and I will make the most of it."
